My Home， My Heaven
Dongying，my home，is located in the vast delta plains of the majestic YellowRiver. There are reeds undulating on the golden beach and varies birds soaringover the wetlands. Dongying is a city of oil as well as ecology. The roaringfrom the running drillings and the sweat on the faces of oil workers witnessedthe development of this land.
As an out-and-out child of Dongying，I have lived here for 20 years. Ididn’t experience the full glorious history of the land，but the customs and thespirits have branded in my heart. I could not erase them, for I am a daughter ofan oil worker.
The sincere and hard-working people here taught me what is perseverance;our mother river and the magnificent Bohai Sea show me catholicity; the elegantswans and the azure sky give us the best instance for harmony between humanbeings and the environment. Actually，all of them are the fortune for my wholelife.
It is not difficult for us to find immense differences happened inDongying, especially after the reforming and opening-up. When I was a volunteerof the China-Dongying International Petroleum Equipment & TechnologyExhibition in 20__，what shocked me is the rapid growth of this land. With theincreasing development of social modernization，we aim not only at efficientlyimproving people’s life，but in the success of constructing an affluent societyand thoroughly applying the Scientific Outlook on Development in recent decades.In order to achieve these goals，it will be our responsibilities to makecontributions. As a student at college，the greatest contribution I can do is tokeep the determination，endeavor to study scientific knowledge and keep the senseof historical responsibility. In this way，I believe，the future of Dongying willbe better.
Born here and living here，I would like to quote the famous Chinese poet AiQing’s lyrics to express myself： “Why are the tears always in my eyes? That'sbecause I love the land so much.”
