Intense exercise that lifts your heart rate up to 75 percent of its capacity, at least four times a week is what helps me maintain my figure and counteracts the side effects of all the junk food I eat. I started doing cardio training when I was fourteen when I started getting a little round, and my parents made a gym membership for me. I didn’t like exercising at first, but when I started getting results, and all the girls in my class were asking me what I do to keep so fit and toned, I got the motivation to continue doing it. Nowadays, I vary my routine a lot, so I don’t get bored. I alternate between training half an hour on the spin bike, the elliptical, the Stairmaster, the treadmill, or I take a jog in the park or do laps in the pool. I’m not a great fan of weight training, but I do start swinging kettlebells and do squats with weights and assisted pull-ups when summer is right around the corner. There are days when I get to the gym and pretty much just laze about, looking at what other people are doing, while keeping the resistance of the machine I am using to a minimum. Other times, I compensate by going extra hard.
