Study aims:

1. Be able to master the following words and phrases.:

amusement, amusement park, water park, space museum, history museum, art museum, science museum , nature museum, go somewhere different, have/has been to sp, have/has gone to sp.

2. Be able to use the structures freely:

Me neither. Me too. Neither +be/助/情+主语. So +be/助/情+主语.

3. Be able to master the following sentence patterns.:

1) —Have you ever been to a space museum? —Yes, I have. 2) —Have you ever been to a history museum?

—No, I haven’t.

—Me neither. Let’s go to one tomorrow.

Teaching procedures:

Step1 Greetings.

1 .T: Good afternoon, boys and girls. SS: Good afternoon, Miss Cao. T: How are you today?

SS: I’m fine , thank you .And you? T: I’m fine ,too. Thank you, sit down ,please.

Step2 Look through the study aims.

T: Let’s begin our new lesson. First let’s look through the study aims. No.1, be able to master the following words and phrases. No.2 ,be able to use the structures freely. No.3 ,be able to master the following sentence patterns. Can you read the study aims aloud once by yourselves quickly ?

SS:Yes ,we can. ( Let ss read the study aims quickly.)

Step3 Lead in.

T: Boys and girls, before our new lesson I have some questions for you.Are you ready? SS:Yes ,we are.

T:Do you like traveling some place? Do you like taking a trip to some place? SS:Yes ,we do.

T:We know there are so many places of great interest in China ,such as Qingdao,

Guilin ,Beijing ,Shanghai and so on. Which places have you ever traveled? Have you ever traveled Shizu mountain?

S1:Yes.

T: When did you travel Shizu mountain? S1: …

T:What do you think of Shizu mountain? Is it high? Is it beautiful? S1: …

2.T:xxx,have you ever been to a museum? S2: …

T: Ok,this class let’s learn Unit 9 Have you ever been to a museum? ( write the title on the blackboard)

Step4 Present new lessons:

1. Guess the places of the pictures; they are a space museum, a history museum, a nature museum, an art museum, a water park, a zoo, an amusement park while lead in sentence patterns:“ Have you ever been to …?” .1.T: look at the picture,what place is it? S3:It’s the Great Wall.

T: Have you ever been to the Great Wall.?

S3:No,I haven’t.( At the moment teacher write the blackboard design. A: Have you ever been to…? B: No, I haven’t.) T: Have you ever been to Zhenzhou?

SS:Yes, I have. .( At the moment teacher write the blackboard design. A: Have you ever been to…? B:Yes, I have. .)

2. Pair work: Get students to work in pairs to practice the conversation,according to pictures.: A:“ Have you ever been to…” B:“Yes, I have”/ Not, I haven’t.

Two minutes later,ask some pairs of students to show their conversation. Step5 Present new lessons:

1. Lead in the key structures , write the blackboard design and follow the teacher twice. T: XXX,Have you ever been to a space museum? S: No, I haven’t. . How about you?

T: Me neither. /= Neither have I. /=I haven’t been to a space museum,either. T: XXX, Have you ever been to Shizu mountain? S:Yes, I have. How about you?

T:Me too./=So have I.=I have ever been to …,too.

2.Pair work:practice the following conversations in pairs,according to the pictures. 1).A: Have you ever been to…? B: No, I haven’t. . How about you?

A: Me neither. /= Neither have I. /=I haven’t been to …,either. 2).A: Have you ever been to…?

B:Yes, I have. How about you?

A:Me too./=So have I.=I have ever been to …,too.

3. Summary:T: According to the conversations,can you say how to use the following structures?(choose a student to answer.)

Me neither. Neither +be/助/情+I. I+否定句,either.接在( )句后边,表示主语“也不…”.

Me too. So+be/助/情+I. I+肯定句,too.接在( )句后边, 表示主语“也…”. 4. Using the structures, do the following exercises,and then check the answers. 小试牛刀:

Step6 Talk about the pictures and listen

Listen and choose the best answer. The first and the second question aim to listening to time, and the third one aims to listen for the relationship. This activity trains students’ listening ability for listening for specific relationship.
