摘要：The invention relates to a method for controlling the continuously variableautomatic transmission for a motor vehicle, equipped with a forced downshift deviceknown as a “kick down” implemented by means of the driver fully depressing theaccelerator pedal in order to obtain the vehicle's maximum acceleration, and with anelectronic engine management system, characterized in that it determines the enginespeed at which maximum engine power can be obtained, as a function of the operatingstate of the engine and of the components connected to it, particularly a particle filter,and as a function of environmental conditions outside the vehicle, particularly the altitudeduring kick down procedures.
