Step 1. Warming-up
1. Sing the song : “Good morning” 2. Free talk
3. Let’s do: Have students read the chant first, and then ask a student say the phrase, others do the movement.
Step 2. Presentation

Find out the rules among the words. A is the initial letter of the word “apple” “ant”. B is the initial letter of the word “book” “bag”. C is the initial letter of the word “cat” “crayon”. D is the initial letter of the word “duck” “dog”.
2. Have students learn the phonetic rules. Read the chant following the tape. 3. Have students read the phonetic group.. 4. Have students write the letters.
Teacher show the stroke order, let student observes and say the features of each letter.
Have students write the letters in the copy book.
Step 3. Practice/Consolidation
