Difficult To master the meaning and usage of place especially points when it is a verb To apply the sentence pattern correctly to different situation Pre-reading: arouse the students’ interests 1. Ask the students: what’s your favorite traditional festival? And briefly tell the reason 2. Since most of the students are familiar with the Chinese festival, the teacher will introduce the holidays in UK While-reading: focus on the reading comprehension skills 1. Skim the text in 3 minutes and answer the T/F questions rose by the teacher 2. Scan the text in 5 minutes and underline the activities that people usually do during the Easter and the Christmas. 3. Based on the activities sentence, try to retell the Easter or Christmas in own words. Students can first discuss with the patterns Post-reading: encourage students to connect the knowledge with themselves and develop the spirit of exploring the knowledge 1.
