摘要：In an automatically controlled device for treating the portions of a web (50) offlat material which is spread out on the support area of a workbench (10) and whichexhibits a cradle (20) which can be moved to and fro under control of the support area ofthe workbench (10) in the direction of the longitudinal extent of the web (50), on whichcradle a head (21, 22), which can be moved to and fro under control transversely to thelongitudinal extent of the web (50), for accommodating a tool, is arranged, the
workbench (10) can be moved to and fro in the direction of the longitudinal extent of theweb (50) between a work position for treating the flat material and an advanced positionoffset in the direction of displacement, the flat material being connected exclusively tothe workbench (10) at least during the movement of the workbench (10) from the workposition into the advanced position by a relative movement between them. When theworkbench (10) is moved back into the work position, the flat material is keptundisplaceable with respect to the frame (1).
