摘要：A latch assembly for securing a microwave oven door comprising two latchpawls engaging latch hangers, a vertically reciprocable or movable member having anelongated hole, a rack and two spaced legs, a spring- biased pinion contacting with apush-button. The force applied by the spring bias facilitates closing and opening thedoor. Upon pushing a button which rotates the pinion counter-clockwise, therebyreciprocating the movable member having the rack upwardly to disengage the latchpawls from the latch hangers.
