摘要：The rotary impact cylinder apparatus includes an anvil cylinder (42) and acooperating impacting cylinder (44) which are rotatably mounted at an operatingposition along a process line. The impacting cylinder is arranged to come into impactingrelationship with the periphery of the anvil cylinder (42) at least once during each
revolution of the inpacting cylinder (44). The impacting cylinder is driven at a variablespeed, and is controlled so that its peripheral speed varies repetitively between a firstspeed, equal to the peripheral speed of the anvil cylinder, and a second speed. Duringthe period that the impacting cylinder is in impacting relationship with the anvil cylinderthe impacting cylinder rotates at said first speed. By this means the distance betweensuccessive impacts can be altered without having to change the inpacting cylinder.
