摘要：A recording method for an optical disc drive and an optical disc drive capable ofpreventing a light source of a laser beam or a laser driving portion from becoming

uncontrollable as they are heated to high temperatures above their compensationtemperatures, and thereby enabling recording to be continued in a stable mannerwithout being interrupted or stopped until it ends. A surrounding temperature ismeasured by a temperature sensor serving as temperature measuring device, a setsurrounding temperature is correlated with a set recording rate by using a data tablestored in an internal memory of a controller serving as correlating device, and arecording rate is changed by a digital signal processing portion serving as recordingcontrol device on the basis of the surrounding temperature measuring result and thecorrelating result, wherein the recording rate is changed by changing a ratio of a

recording operation time and a recording-stop operation time with alternately repeatinga recording operation and a recording-stop operation at as low a laser beam output asplayback.
