FST16233
16-Bit to 32-Bit Multiplexer/Demultiplexer Bus Switch
General Description
The Fairchild Switch FST16233 is a 16-bit to 32-bit high-speed CMOS TTL-compatible multiplexer/demultiplexerbus switch. The low on resistance of the switch allowsinputs to be connected to outputs without adding propaga-tion delay or generating additional ground bounce noise. The device can be used in applications where two busesneed to be addressed simultaneously. The FST16233 canbe used as two 8-bit to 16-bit multiplexers or as one 16-bitto 32-bit multiplexer.
Two select (SEL1, SEL0) and two test (TEST0, TEST1)inputs provide switch enable and multiplexer select control. The FST16233 is designed to prevent through-currentwhen switching buses.
Features
s4Ω switch connection between two ports.sMinimal propagation delay through the switch.sLow lCC.
sZero bounce in flow-through mode.sControl inputs compatible with TTL level.

Note 1: The “Absolute Maximum Ratings” are those values beyond whichthe safety of the device cannot be guaranteed. The device should not beoperated at these limits. The parametric values defined in the ElectricalCharacteristics tables are not guaranteed at the absolute maximum rating. The “Recommended Operating Conditions” table will define the conditionsfor actual device operation.
Note 2: The input and output negative voltage ratings may be exceeded ifthe input and output diode current ratings are observed.
Note 3: Unused control inputs must be held HIGH or LOW. They may notfloat.
