Make a difference means making a good change. You can make a difference in your own life, also you can make a difference in others’ lives. Question and answer activity

 T: -Are you happy with your life now? Is it good enough for you? S: - Yes/ No

 T: -Do you want to make a difference? What should you do? S: -I want to... ...

Discuss their lives and their dissatisfaction to encourage them to make a difference. Step 3: New words  difference n.

Play the tape for students once so that they can get the main idea of the whole passage.

In this step, students learn useful language points on their own, and explain the meanings in the class. By this, they can know those language points very clearly. Teacher will help them if necessary.

Step 6: Choose an appropriate adverb to retell the following sentences.

By choosing adverbs in these exercises, students can clarify these adverbs from each other. Teacher will make a summary of these adverbs.
