Why do i choose attend university

When I was a little boy, I was told that I had better go to college when I grow up. At that time I did not know why my parents had such a big hope on me. What I knew was that a college was a big school with a nice campus, a large library full of great books.

Many people only know that going to university is important.But few people understand what is true college? Can university provide something with us? As far as I am concern, university is a place where can cultivate talents,develop science,and service society.Meanwhile students can gain more knowledge and skill from college.

However,nowadays,people who have attended university are so easy by employer that some of them can not find any position in society.Thus,many people hold the view that attending a university is useless and even a waste of life.What is worse,they think that graduation is equal to unemployment.In my opinion,this idea is wrong.The reasons mainly as follow:

Above all,in recent years,most jobs require people who are educated and have good job skills.Therefore,the people who want a good job have to study hard and

at least graduate with a high education.Furthermore,as technology advances all over the world,more and more education is required of some of people.On the other hand,people who graduate from senior high school have not enough social experience and ample knowledge.The knowledge of high school isn’t of adaption for modern society.A person ,who graduate from senior high school and doesn’t be educated from university,can’t adapt to society which is different between student’s lives.For getting more experience and improving abilities,they must go to the more high level school,college or university.

Moreover,time spent at university is an utter worthwhile and important period in our lives. In the period, we can enjoy the colorfulness of university life; at the same time, the experience and challenges provide us a good chance to know and understand ourselves so that we are easier to find our positions in the future.So it isn’t a waste.

For one thing, a variety of knowledge and experiences provide a convenient way and chance to broaden our horizon and strengthen our ability in many areas. At university, we can search and receive various knowledge concerning different subjects by many ways, such as library, internet and so on. Besides, attending many kinds of activities is a good choice to improve our communication skills and widen our interpersonal relationships. The more people we get in touch with, the more ways can we get and learn to get along with others.

For another, the experience and challenges we meet in university have a great impact on our personality forming and the understanding for us. In this period,we

will form some opinions and understandings about ourselves after experiencing some matters and meeting some challenges; meanwhile, some certain characters and values which will affect and even determine our choices of position in future will be shaped and formed.

All in all ,i strongly believe that go to university is important for us.Therefore,we should try our best to catch up the chance to study at university and value the time at university .This is reason that i choose attend university.
