摘要：The present invention provides a method and device for detecting the
symmetry of an optical fiber. The method for detecting the symmetry of an optical fibercomprises: a boundary clock receiving, through a slave port, a first time stamp messagecarrying a first time stamp, and receiving, through a passive port, a second time stampmessage carrying a second time stamp; the boundary clock determining the symmetry ofan optical fiber at least according to the first time stamp and the second time stamp. Themethod and device for detecting the symmetry of an optical fiber provided by thepresent invention reduce the cost of detecting the symmetry of an optical fiber in theprior art, and improve the efficiency of detecting the symmetry of an optical fiber in theprior art.
