摘要：It is possible to conduct reproduction control so as to thin out frames or widenthe frame interval without deterioration of a reproduction quality. A transmitting
apparatus () includes an encoding unit () for temporally dividing media data having atemporal continuity and encoding the media data, a reproduction information generatingunit () for generating the reproduction information on the basis of the contents of themedia, and a transmitting unit () for transmitting the encoded media data and thegenerated reproduction information. Further, a receiving apparatus () includes a receivingunit () for extracting media encoded data having a temporal continuity and thereproduction information from the received data, a decoding unit () for decoding themedia encoded data, and a reproducing unit () for reproducing the decoded media datathat is decoded on the basis of the reproduction information.
